Eligible employees will continue to have the choice between two medical plans—the
Traditional plan and the High Deductible plan. Both are comprehensive beneit plans
through Aetna that include coverage for both medical and prescription drugs.
There are no major beneit changes to our medical plans for 2016. The
only change is a decrease in the family out-of-pocket maximum in the
High Deductible plan, due to requirements under the Affordable Care
Act.
Just a reminder: both plans cover routine preventive care at 100 percent.
Before seeking preventive care, always check age requirements on speciic
well child, well man and well woman screenings, vaccinations, and tests
to conirm the visit will be considered preventive and covered at 100
percent. We encourage you to stay up to date with your preventive care
visits and work with your physician to identify care options that help
maintain or improve your health. Both plans are compliant with the guidelines issued
by the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF). The High Deductible plan will
continue to cover preventive medications, as deined by the USPSTF, at 100 percent,
no cost to the member. The goal is to encourage compliance and adherence with the
medications that are included on this list.
In both plans, you can receive care in-network or out-of-network. This means,
you have the lexibility to see the doctor of your choice or visit the facility of your
choice; however, please remember you will receive the deepest level of discount on
your services and the most cost protection from your plan designs when you receive
care with an in-network doctor or at an in-network facility. If you need to ind an
in-network provider, you can do so on www.aetna.com. Click on the “Find a Doctor”
link, ill out the requested search criteria, and select Aetna Choice POS II for your
plan/network. You can also call the number on the back of your ID and speak with
a customer service representative.
