Dubai Municipality has initiated a project to rebuild and rehabilitate the
supporting walls along the Deira side of Dubai Creek in response to climate
change and maintenance needs, the authority announced on Sunday.

The project is expected to cost $30.4 million (AED112 million) and be completed in 14
months.

It includes the restoration of the 2.1 km Deira pier, which involves replacement and the
rehabilitation of damaged sections of the concrete wall, reaching a depth of 8 metres
