14-month Dubai Creek upgrade to fix 50-

year-old damage

Over 13,000 ships traverse the Dubai Creek annually and the
improvements are targeted at ensuring their safe docking in the

Dubai Municipality plans to spend Dhs112m to fix certain sections of its
famous creek that have been damaged and dilapidated over the past 50
years.

The project is expected to take 14-months and will replace and rehabilitate
damaged sections of the Dubai Creek’s concrete wall in parts of Deira and
Bur Dubai.
