Liverpool has been named as the host of next year’s Eurovision Song Contest, seeing off
competition from Glasgow.
The BBC announced last night that the city of Lennon and McCartney had won its bid to host
the event, which was supposed to take place in Ukraine before it was moved to Britain because
of Russia’s invasion.
