in 2015.
The Eurovision Song Contest final will be held on May 13.
Steve Rotheram, mayor of the Liverpool City Region, said “music was coming home”. He said:
“Now the real work begins as we pull out all the stops for a Eurovision contest to make Ukraine
proud.” Liz Truss congratulated Liverpool and said the show would be “unforgettable”.
Birmingham, Leeds, Newcastle, Sheffield and Manchester were the cities eliminated from the
shortlist.
