are the events. I love attending them and looking for the next big feature rat.
Being a photographer, I’ve had the chance to shoot some incredible rat rods
for this magazine and personally witness the excitement on the builder’s face
knowing their hard work is about to shown to a national audience. I don’t
think I’ll ever tire of that. In this issue, I’ve added a new feature. I was sent
some photo’s awhile back from a little girl’s mother. In the email, the mother
explained to me that their little girl loved working on her dad’s rat rod with
him. She even had her own shop clothes. As I looked through the photos I
could only imagine the pride her dad must have felt having this little one at
his side taking such interest in his rat rod. It occurred to me right then… why
are we not featuring and encouraging the next generation of rat rodders?
Well from here on out… we will. The Rat Rod Magazine Future Builder Spotlight
is all about kids who show a true interest towards
rat rods. Now, there are some rules we must follow
because after all, these are kids. We will not print last
names or even locations. Just fi rst name, age and a
brief description. It’s my personal belief that we need
to nurture and encourage any kid interested in the rat
rod culture. After all, they are our future. So, if you have
a little shop helper, let us know about it. We would be
proud to do our part supporting them. Speaking of
our future, Craig had the opportunity to head out to
Charlotte NC to an event RRM will be really watching
from now on. Make sure you check out the feature in
this issue on Charlotte S.T.E.A.M. This is something we
are all excited about here. With that… I am out of here!
Keep building those rats!
