build a car that was going to be driven (not trailered)
from their garage to Alexandria, Louisiana. Chris Walker’s
‘57 Chevy wagon not only won that fi rst Build-Off, but
WHERE TO FIND IT: cemented his name in Rat Rod Magazine history. No
COVER, other rat rod before or since has made such a huge fi rst
ISSUE #22 impression on our readers (it is still talked about today.)
