However (there’s always a however),
some builders have presented us with
features that made us stop dead in our
tracks. Now we’re not saying that
NOBODY else has ever done any of
these things. But we’ve seen a lot of
stuff over 50 issues and several lifetimes
worth of car shows, and these guys had
us shaking our collective heads.
It was love at first sight when Jeremy and I happened upon
Jerome’s truck at RatCity Rukkus 2017. Its low stance and full fender
skirts all around give Jerome’s truck the appearance of floating. But
the marriage of this ‘41 Dodge and ‘92 Toyota was not an easy one.
The confines of the Dodge cab that was welded to the Toyota floor
meant that the clutch pedal had to be relocated to a hand lever to
the driver’s right. “The transmission’s all synchronized, so I only really
use the clutch to get it going. After that, I just rev match to shift”.
