Wow!! Fifty issues is pretty
dang huge. We’ve seen lots of
photographers and writers come and
go in this time. I’ve made and lost
many friends due to this awesome
magazine. We’ve gained AND lost
lots of readers too. The latest for me,
was the toughest though.
ROBERT WAYNE WHITE was one of my
biggest local supporters, and he loved RAT ROD
MAGAZINE. He loved me like a brother and I
loved him so very much as a human. He was the
ULTIMATE hot rodder and SO very talented. BIG
ROB stood a full 6’7” tall.... but loomed like a giant
in the Texas rat rod scene. He built everything
from scratch-motorcycles, frames, rat rods, and
friendships. Robert was SO incredibly creative and
welded so many beautiful things- lamps, clocks,
bikes, and trophies. He was the funniest so-and-
so who was sweet as pie. Slobert never met
a stranger and had the biggest heart.
...he also had the biggest head.
I don’t mean ego--I mean the
guy was YUGE! He was always
looming in the background of
pictures, because he was a
hulk of a fella. I took more
pictures of him than any
other one person,
because
