ne thing we DON’T do here at Rat Rod is
run around patting ourselves on the back.
O Personally, when I see companies bragging
about their awards and good deeds and
donations and whatever else, it makes me cringe.
But, in the spirit of our 50th issue celebration,
I wanted to share with everyone how amazing
this magazine team has been over the years.
We don’t need awards to validate what we’ve
done, but they are a very real reminder of where
we’ve been. The magic of the magazine journey
isn’t in accolades – it’s in this very small, mostly
volunteer crew who has blazed a trail through
an almost impossible automotive magazine
market. It’s like we have navigated this industry
with rat rod methodology… doing as much as
we can with as little as possible. And the larger
motivation behind these pages here is to share
these accomplishments with you, the reader, the
enthusiast, and our family - we’ve done these
things together! — Steve
