Aaron Fink

            Celebrated touring and studio
            guitarist, Aaron Fink (formerly
            of Breaking Benjamin), sails into
            previously uncharted waters with
his new solo album GALAXIES due
for release on January 20, 2017 via
            Woodhenge Records. The record
            blends melodic rock with musical
left turns, bold guitar solos and
            contemplative lyrics. As well as
taking charge as a producer, Fink
has also stepped forward as a
            multi-instrumentalist, playing every
instrument on the record, singer Wood Chickens
and songwriter and looks onward to
creating a rock n’ roll catalog to call
his own. Album review: Have A Cow
“I am psyched to be releasing my
new collection of tunes, Galaxies, out I’m sitting at one of my favorite local establishments (the
into the wild!” says Aaron. Henderson RoadHaus in Henderson Minnesota) and the owner – a
Recorded at SI Studios in Old car guy, of course – hands me a CD and says check these guys
Forge, PA, Galaxies has a multitude out. So, I did. The Wood Chickens “Have A Cow” is thirteen tracks
of guest spots featuring artists of absolute chaos. I mean that in a good way, of course. I’m not
Patrick Flynn (Underground Saints), sure exactly what the proper genre is, but I’d describe the Wood
Mark Kiesinger (Underground Chickens as punk folk. Or folk punk? I don’t know… but you can’t
Saints), Paul Smith (The Badlees), possibly listen to these guys without tapping your foot or hand or
Ron Simasek (The Badlees), Zhach whatever body part you feel like moving. It’s infectious and crazy
Kelsch (Dive), John Novak (Down and a lot of fun. High energy but very organic. I was told their live
to Six) and Tyler Dempsey (Marko show is a blast and I believe it. (check ‘em out!)
            Marcinko Trio). woodchickens.bandcamp.com

            Album Review: Galaxies
The fi rst thing you’ll notice when you dive into Galaxies is the smooth
ear-catching guitar work. The whole album is anchored by that
old-school, rockin’ vibe and the strong vocals help to wrap it all up
in one nicely produced package. Every guitar riff is a hook without
overpowering any of the other elements. Nice blend, nice fl ow,
and a damn good album. [fi nd Galaxies on itunes]
