Dan’s been immersed
in the world of art for the
last twenty years or so,
getting his start airbrushing
murals inside his buddy’s
party houses. By that time, he
was hooked and he made the
decision to make a career
out of his creativity. He went
to school to learn the craft
of digital animation and found
himself working many long,
unfulfi lling hours in the animated
movie industry.
Since Dan had decided that wasn’t
all it was cracked up to be, he got a
regular job running a loader at a local mill.
Fate then stepped in in the form of a serious injury that left
Dan permanently disabled. His wife brought him an art pad
to help Dan pass the hours during his long recuperation, and
it restoked the fi re to create art on HIS terms as a hotrod/
lowbrow artist.
He has already parlayed his talent into a gig with
CARtoons magazine, which was reborn this past year
after a long hiatus. Among other things, Dan is also doing
skateboard decks and even has time to carve some cool
pumpkins for kids at Halloween.
