that anybody can restore a car, but it takes a real man to customize one.
It gets even hairier when the subject vehicle is rather rare. Such is the case
with Turner, Oregon’s Gene Lissey and his ’31 Ford. What’s so rare about a
’31 Ford, you say? Didn’t they build like eleventy jillion of them? Actually,
Ford built about 615,000 vehicles, of which only fi ve percent were Victoria
Tudors, also known as ‘Vickys’. What makes a Victoria different are the
slanted A-pillars, lower roofl ine, and that sexy, round rear.
