A twenty-dollar trans cooler at
any parts house will save you
routing tubing. Two short lines
from fi rewall to trans and you’re
in business. The wiring we used
was the 8-circuit kit because it’s
easy. Everything is numbered
and lettered. We used 63 Ford
tail lights and $59.00 headlights
from Speedway. Our last dilemma
was headers. Because this Jeep
was wider than, say a T-Bucket,
T-Bucket headers wouldn’t clear
other things on the left side. We
began experimenting with ideas
and decided to take a regular set
of SBC headers, and cut the ⁄2”

back from where they attach to
the fl ange. We got cyclone fence
tubes and cut pieces long enough
to clear everything and then
