Seasons After
Melodic, edgy – thought-provoking songs… it’s safe to say Manifesto will satisfy those
listeners who want rock/metal they can connect with on a deeper level. No fl uff here,
just well-written tunes that take you from face-splitting grinds to soaring choruses –
bridged by brilliant guitar solos, among other intricacies. Everything is polished and
there are plenty of hooks, but the guitar riffs are especially powerful. If you like it
heavy with plenty of melody and off-the-charts musicianship, you’ll LOVE Manifesto…
kudos to Seasons After for a statement album. seasonsafter.com
Vyces
Crank up Devils and you’ll be sucked right into a songwriting masterpiece. Heavy grooves
lead into jagged breaks, which lead into smooth, rich choruses – it’s a dynamic mix of
sounds that complement each other beautifully. For a collection of only six songs, Devils
is powerful and immersive. vycesoffi cial.com
Dead Horse Trauma
DHT’s brand of high-energy, high-impact hard rock reaches a whole new level with
their sixth studio album, Life. It’s feisty, substantive, and has all the attitude you’d
expect from Iowa’s resident ass-kickers. Several tracks like Always (Never) and Love
and War are full of catchy, sweeping hooks whereas The Massacre is an awesomely-
angry contrast. There’s a cool range of emotions captured on this album – all neatly
packaged in one full, satisfying sound. deadhorsetrauma.com
Another Lost Year
Alien Architect is driven by sexy guitar licks and silky smooth - yet powerful – vocals,
the combination of which creates a beautifully complete tour de force. If you like your
rock and roll with more rock than roll, you’ll appreciate Another Lost Year’s well-
produced and straight-forward offering. It’s full, colorful, tight – an easy listen with no
weak moments. whoisaly.com
Blue Felix
This review segment wouldn’t be complete without a little Blue Felix following
their Artist Profi le. While they’re working on a new album, we went back to 2010 to
review Sample Of A Solution. To say Blue Felix is anti-establishment would be an
understatement… with songs like Middle Finger Up and Uncle Sam (among others)
there’s no sugar coating anything here. It’s aggressive, unapologetic, and even a bit
abrasive – with a no-holds-barred attitude and an unrelenting drive. It’s a solid metal
album carried by powerful vocals and plenty of grit. bluefelix.com
