There’s a verse in the Bible and it says, “I will set my face like flint.” I don’t know about you, but for me that brings some vivid imagery to my mind. I picture a determined warrior. He is single in purpose, like a stone and unflinching in the face of any battle. When we’re going after a goal, we need to be like this warrior, right? It takes dedication and the ability to avoid distractions and diversions.
I know a guy who removed his television from his home while he was studying for the bar exam. It was his goal to become an attorney, and he was willing to remove anything that could potentially hold him back. He was like the warrior, with singleness of purpose. He looked at things in black and white, asking the question, “Will doing this bring me closer to my goal 70
