is not. It isn’t a ‘Dear Diary’ situation. There, I said it. Now let’s talk about what it is.
Results driven journaling, the kind that will help you tap into your inner resources and access solutions and creative ideas that you probably would not access any other way, is what I’m talking about when I talk about journaling.
That’s one of the benefits of journaling. There is another, and it’s just as powerful.
The faintest ink is more powerful than the strongest memory.
We forget, don’t we? We have triumphs. We overcome crazy obstacles. We practically walk on water at certain times in our lives, and yet when the cloud of discouragement is looming overhead, what happens? We forget everything. It all goes out the window. All of our testimonies seem to be lost, swept under the rug somewhere. Journaling provides you with access to an encouragement infusion whenever you need one, 24- hours a day. Recorded triumphs, written (or typed) in your own words, right from your own spirit to words on a page...Whenever I feel fear or discouragement trying to stick to me, I get my journal. My favorite triumphs and “against all odds” stories are marked with Post-It Note bookmarks, for easy access.
It provides me with a way to say, “Okay, so you’re going through this problem right now, and it seems tough, but look right here. You walked through that and came out on top, and you’ll walk through this too!”
