Young mathema�cians are mo�vated by the challenge of organizing, coun�ng, and represen�ng
collec�ons. This session introduces coun�ng collec�on trajectories, forma�ve assessment tools that
allow elementary teachers to understand and advance student thinking in grades PK-2. Grades PreK - 2

Discovering Angles of Polygons and Circles using Frac�on Circles and Exploragons
Par�cipants will receive sets of Frac�on Circles and Exploragons to explore the
variety of angles related to polygons and circles. A�er a brief review of the pieces,
par�cipants will delve into how the measures of these angles are determined. This is a hands-on
teaching/learning session. Grades 6 - 12
