Making Math Matter: It’s a Way of Life with Infinite Possibilities
One of my new favorite ac�vi�es that involves using graphs, tables, factoring, the quadra�c formula, as
well as having students THINK! Students will need to reason analy�cally about absolute value equa�ons
and quadra�c equa�ons in ways that they have not been asked to do before. Mul�ple solu�on paths.
This will be a fun one! Grades 6 - 12

Hands-On Connec�ons: Bridging Scien�fic Inquiry and Mathema�cal Thinking
This hands-on session integrates math and science through engaging ac�vi�es that foster explora�on,
problem-solving, and cri�cal thinking. Educators will experience Tier 1 strategies that connect inquiry
with reasoning, deepen understanding, and provide tools to scaffold learning and boost achievement.

Coun�ng Collec�ons: Every Piece Counts
In this session, par�cipants will get a chance to experience the thinking process of coun�ng collec�ons.
They will develop a basic sense of the possibili�es this prac�ce has in building number sense in the
classroom. Grades PreK - 5
