Making Math Matter: It’s a Way of Life with Infinite Possibilities

                                        Session 162 will be held in 101 B from 11:30 - 11:55.

Solve an Absolute Value Equaon Like No Other with Mulple Creave Clever Ways to Do It

One of my new favorite acvies that involves using graphs, tables, factoring, the quadrac formula, as
well as having students THINK! Students will need to reason analycally about absolute value equaons
and quadrac equaons in ways that they have not been asked to do before. Mulple soluon paths.
This will be a fun one! Grades 6 - 12

                                        Session 163 will be held in 102 A from 11:30 - 11:55.

Hands-On Connecons: Bridging Scienfic Inquiry and Mathemacal Thinking
This hands-on session integrates math and science through engaging acvies that foster exploraon,
problem-solving, and crical thinking. Educators will experience Tier 1 strategies that connect inquiry
with reasoning, deepen understanding, and provide tools to scaffold learning and boost achievement.

                                            Counng Collecons: Every Piece Counts

In this session, parcipants will get a chance to experience the thinking process of counng collecons.
They will develop a basic sense of the possibilies this pracce has in building number sense in the
