Making Math Matter: It’s a Way of Life with Infinite Possibilities

                                       Session 177 will be held in 102 B from 12:00 - 12:25.

Count Me In! Making Number Sense Sck

How do young learners develop real number sense—not just the ability to recite numbers, but to
understand quanty, relaonships, and paterns? This session explores the power of intenonal counng
rounes and counng collecons in supporng mathemacal development in K–2. Grades K-2

                                        Session 178 will be held in 102 C from 12:00 - 12:25.

Using spiral graphs to introduce middle & high school students to higher mathemacs

This interacve presentaon will use spiral graphs to show how we can introduce mathemacs concepts
taught in advanced college math courses to middle and high school students. We will use these graphs to
show students that mathemacs can be fun, excing and to spur their interest in higher mathemacs
including number theory and algebra. College
