Making Math Matter: It’s a Way of Life with Infinite Possibilities

Join us to experience hands-on, engaging, and collabora�ve tasks designed to build conceptual
understanding of challenging topics in middle school! We will use a variety of manipula�ves from
hand2mind to solve and discuss challenging problem-based tasks that promote reasoning, discourse,
and conceptual understanding for all students! Grades 6 - 8

The Vanishing Point Between Art and Mathema�cs

We will explore connec�ons between mathema�cs and art, including the historical development of
linear perspec�ve in pain�ng and its rela�onship to projec�ve geometry. Poten�al classroom
applica�ons will also be discussed. Grades 6 - 12 College
