Session 237 will be held in Ballroom A from 1:00 - 1:50
Helping Struggling Students Master Mathema�cs
This session will cover techniques to help teachers meet state standards, including
mastering math facts, focusing on division, and exploring frac�ons. Teachers will
explore problem-based learning, ver�cal alignment planning, and crea�ve
assessment methods to create a win-win environment for both students and
teachers. Grades 3 - 5

Playful Math: Powering Up Educators and Families Support of
Young Children’s Math Learning
Par�cipants engage in fun, developmentally appropriate play to support early
math learning in classrooms and power up parents to support math learning at
home. We will try different games, watch videos, and discuss ways to incorporate
these ideas into our own work to support children’s natural curiosity and wonder
about math. Grades PreK - 2
