~Top Teen In The News~
Teen Isaac Smitherman, a graduate of Walnut
Hills High School, a college preparatory
high school. At Walnut Hills
High School, he was, President of
Student Congress, President of the
Senior Class, and President of the
Blue Radley
Club.
Academically, Isaac took advance
placement classes that allowed
him to earn college credits at the
freshman level.
Some of the advance classes taken
were Latin, U. S. History, calculus,
physics, economics, English, etc.
Because of his

success in these advance classes, Isaac received a full scholarship. He receives free tuition as well as free room and
board at the University of Cincinnati. He will begin at the university in the fall of 2018 and major in engineering.
At Walnut Hills High School, Isaac was also an active participant in the Theatre Department. He performed in
Pirates of Penance, And Then There Were None, Ragtime, etc. He was remarkable in all performances.
Isaac has been a vital member of the Cincinnati Chapter of Top Teens of America for the last four years. During his
tenure, he has served as president of the local chapter, Community Beautification Committee Chair, March-of-
Dimes Walk and Lock-In. He participated in the Area V and Local Chapter’s “Feed the Needy" Programs that were
partnered with Lee Chapel AME Church. Isaac was the Area V Thrust Chair. Additionally, he has attended two Syn-
Lods and four Area V Leadership Conferences.
Isaac Smitherman is an outstanding vocalist. He sang "I Rise" at the most recent 43rd Area V Leadership Conference.
The outpour from the audience was an indication that they were thoroughly entertained and appreciative of his amazing
Performance!
Teen Isaac was a motivating and energetic leader at and for the St, Jude Walk. The activity was partnered with
approximately 63 members of the Lincoln Ware Walking Club. This particular walk took place during a rainy Saturday
morning on May 19. Many teens were not dressed in rain attire nor did they carry umbrellas; but walked, in spite, of
the weather as did their advisors and one Service to Youth Committee member. The Teens did dress in their
conference t-shirts and obtained $360 in donations for their efforts.
Isaac is the son of Cincinnati Vice Mayor Christopher and wife Pamela Smitherman who are parents to four boys and
one girl. He is also the grandson of Lady Barbara Smitheman of the Cincinnati Chapter of Top Ladies of Distinctio6n9,
Inc.
