COOKING: 10 minutes INGREDIENTS
♥ 125g unsalted butter ♥ 1/4 cup rice malt syrup ♥ 1 tsp vanilla extract ♥ 1 pinch salt
♥ 1/2 tsp bicarbonate j j j j j jj soda
♥ 1 tbsp boiling water ♥ 1 1/2 cup rolled oats ♥ 3/4 cup desiccated n
nn coconut
♥ 1/2 cup plain flour
♥ 1/2 cup roughly chopped
nn macadamias
♥ 1/2 tsp cinnamon
                  METHOD
1. Preheat oven to 150C.
2. In a small saucepan on low heat, melt the butter,
.....rice malt syrup and vanilla. Stir until the mixture .....starts to bubble, then remove from the heat and .....add the salt.
3. Combine the bicarbonate of soda with the boiling .,
. jwater in a small bowl and then add to butter . ........ jjjmixture, stirring through until foamy.
4. Add remaining ingredients into a separate bowl. 5. Pour melted butter mixture onto dry ingredients
jjjand combine well.
6. Roll small spoonfuls of the mixture into ball and
jjjthen place on a tray lined with baking paper.
7. Flatten with a fork but allow room for them to
jjjjspread.
8. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden. 9. Allow to cool before serving.
