HOW TO MAKE KONJI BARAYAK






                  Ingredients   :


                      ●  1kg of rice flour
                      ●  2kg of sugar
                      ●  4L of coconut milk
                      ●  3 teaspoons of salt •
                      ●  ½ teaspoon of lime betel powder
                      ●  2 pandanus leaves
                      ●  100ml of water

                  Steps         :

                      1.  Pour coconut milk into a pot that has been heated.
                      2.  Add pandanus leaves and pinch some salt and sugar into the pot. Whip the milk lightly.
                      3.  After it boils, take about 100ml of the coconut milk and pour it into a bowl. Set it aside.
                      4.  Dissolve ½ teaspoon of lime betel powder with 100mL of water.
                      5.  Drop rice flour and the dissolved lime betel into the coconut milk in the bowl. Blend them
                         carefully.
                      6.  Put a big sieve (ayakan) on top of the pot containing the rest of the coconut milk.
                      7.  Take the rice flour dough with a ladle and pour it over the sieve. Use the bottom of the
                         ladle to flatten the dough by moving back and forth so that 4-5 cm long dough is formed
                         and falls into the boiling coconut milk.
                      8.  Stir continuously until the dough in the coconut milk floats. After that, the Konji is cooked
                         and ready to be served.
