Introduction

Palembang culture is a valuable part of Indonesia’s cultural

heritage that reflects local wisdom, traditions, and historical

identity. In the context of education, learning English should not

only focus on language skills, but also support character building

and cultural awareness based on Indonesian values.

This book, “Exploring Palembang Culture Through English”,

is designed as an educational resource that integrates English

language learning with the values of the Profil Pelajar Pancasila.

Through descriptive and procedural texts, visuals, and cultural

activities, students are invited to explore Palembang traditions,

foods, historical sites, and daily life using English in meaningful and

contextual ways.
