CASDA in Your District
On March 15, CASDA faculty member Melissa Puglisi
presented on Restorative Practices for the New
Lebanon Central School District.
In her presentation, she discussed what these practices are
and that they are not a replacement to consequences for
bad behavior. Attendees learned how to use Restorative
Practices and gained tips and tricks on using them quickly and efficiently. The importance of
building a community and how to make Restorative Practices impactful and successful in
reducing undesirable behaviors was also presented.
CASDA is available to help districts better understand and facilitate Restorative Practices in
their schools. Contact Executive Director Michael Piccirillo, Ed.D. at 518-512-5198 ext. 6222
