Housings are split at angles 90 degrees or greater to facilitate wheel removal without disturbing inlet or outlet.
“Mohawk” (newer style) Standard (older style)
Mohawk (newer style) - Splits between scroll and inlet Splits all the way down to the funnel or Inlet Plate.
housing side. Inlet side of housing does not have a split. Weld Nuts are welded on the inside of the split and bolt from outside the housing.
Not used on Double Width fans or fans with attached Studs are welded to the outside of the housing.
