                Syat!  = is (are);  AStu  = let it be;  ten ikm!  = what's the use of it?;  SvßSw-raJy-iÉ]a_yam! = from the

                kingdom or begging in a dream; buÏ>  = an awakened man; n Sp&Zyte = does not derive (any good);

                olu  = indeed.


                218.  Some  may  say  that  these  deluded  people are  of lower and  higher nature  and represent  the

                nature  of  Truth  from  the  lowest  to  the  highest.  So  be  it,  what  is  the  use  of  it  (thinking)?  An
                awakened man does not derive any good from kingdom or from begging in his dream.

                tasmänmumukñubhirnaiva matirjéveçavädayoù |
                käryä kintu brahmatattvaà vicäryaà budhyatäà ca tat || 219||
                tSmat!  = therefore; mumu]uiÉ> = aspirants of liberation;  n @v mit> kayaR = should never engage; jIv-

                $z-vadyae> = arguments about the nature of Jiva and Ishvara; ikNtu  = on the other hand; äütÅvm! =

                nature of Brahman;  ivcayRm!  = should contemplate; buXytam!  = realize;  c = and;  tt! = It.

                219. Therefore, the aspirants of liberation should never engage themselves in arguments about the

                nature of Jiva and Ishvara. On the other hand they should contemplate on the nature of Brahman

                and realize It.

                pürvapakñatayä tau cettattvaniçcayahetutäm |
                präpnuto'stu nimajjasva tayornaitävatävaçaù || 220||
                pUvRp]tya = arguments; taE = those two (Jiva and  Ishvara); cet!  = then; tÅviníy-hetutam!   = means to

                understand  the  nature  of  Brahman;  àaßut>  =  taken  up;    AStu  =  okay;    n  inm¾Sv    =  don't  get

                drowned;  tyae>  = in them;  @tavta-Avz>  = so helplessly.
