101. They quote Shruti which clearly says that Prakriti, the undifferentiated matter, is unmanifest
and is superior (and different) from Mahat, the differentiated matter. They also state that according
to scriptures, the Purusha is unattached and pure.

102. The followers of Yoga philosophy state that functioning of Prakriti is due to the proximity of
Consciousness, and Ishvara is the controller of Prakriti. He is distinct and superior to the Jivas, says
Shruti.
