                108. Jivas are also not affected by sufferings etc. as they too are unattached. However, due to lack of

                discrimination, they imagine they are affected by sufferings, karmas and their results as indicated

                earlier.

                not appropriate; taikRka>  = logicians.



                109. The logicians (the Naiyayikas) think that the unattached Ishvara's rulership over the universe
                is not appropriate. (Therefore) they attribute to Him the qualities like eternal knowledge, eternal

                effort and eternal desire.

                110. They say that His Lordship of the universe is also due to  these three eternal qualities alone,

                and  not  otherwise.  In  support  of  this  they  quote  from  Shruti  'His  desire  is  truth;  His  resolve  is
                truth.'
