one place to another) is part of globalization. Write about the reasons that people
migrate in today’s world”. Follow the writing steps suggested in your student’s book.

People go to seek better opportunities.
Want to improve their economic situation.
People want to study abroad.
People from another countries offer great jobs.
Migrants want to experience new things.
Draft Thesis Statement
There are several reasons why people migrate from one place to another. People migrate
because there are economic problems in their homeland, they migrate looking for better
opportunities and they want to improve their economic situation.
STEP 2: Number the items on your list according to how they relate to the controlling idea
of your thesis statement. Cross out the items that do not relate to the supporting points that
you plan to address in your body paragraph.
(1) There are not enough jobs.

(2) People go to seek better opportunities.
(3) They want to improve their economic situation.
(3) They want to have a better paid job.
