Laura Evans joined The Walt Disney Company in October 2018 as
SVP, Data for Disney Streaming Services (DSS); a business unit
within the company’s Direct-to-Consumer and International (DTCI)
segment.
Laura is responsible for overseeing analytics, data science, and
insight capabilities for the company’s portfolio of direct-to-
consumer services including ESPN+ and the upcoming Disney+
streaming service.
Prior to joining Disney, Laura served as SVP, Data & Insights at
LAURA The New York Times Company where she led data science,
analytics, and data operations across the organization. She’s also
EVANS held leadership positions at major media organizations including
Scripps Network Interactive, The Washington Post and Dow
Jones/The Wall Street Journal.

Data Science and Laura holds a Ph.D. in Political Science with a concentration in
Analytics, Disney Quantitative Methods from George Washington University.
