LOCAL POLITICS

The barangay is lead by the barangay captain and the officials are divided into different committees

in managing the barangayThe local government are making sure that the residents are aware of
what is happening in the barangay through their announcements made public. One of the issues

now or is currently in debate is the state of environmental protection in the barangay. According

to the Committee on Natural Resources/ Environmental Protection and Waste Management
/Good Government Law and Ordinances one of their projects, the regular clean up, is done by

volunteers to ensure the cleanliness of the community. Residents clean their surroundings on a

specific day of the week.

LOCAL ECONOMY AND BUSINESS

Most of the businesses owned by local residents are small businesses such as bakeries and sari-
sari stores. And not only that, due to the establishment of the Science Park, most of the

residents work in industrial plants such as Union Galvasteel Corporation.
