So this year we have some new questions, but they are not questions either. We are
observing. This year is different from other years. Our community is physically apart.
Our faces are masked for our health and the health of others. I am asking myself
questions I already know the answer to. With these observations comes hope, though. We
are acknowledging that this is not the way we generally celebrate the seder night. We are
meant to celebrate in community. We are meant to recline together and pour each other
wine while sharing a festive meal. This year is different, but with the help of G-d we will
be blessed to celebrate together next year in Jerusalem and without masks.
