4 Bentuk Kompleks
Virus disebut berbentuk kompleks karena memiliki struktur
yang rumit, contohnya bakteriofag yang mempunyai struktur
kompleks dilengkapi dengan kepala yang tersusun oleh beberapa
protein serta ekor yang tersusun oleh lebih dari 20 macam protein
(Tortora et al., 2007).
Contoh virus kompleks adalah Poxviridae yang sangat
kompleks dan mengandung lebih dari 100 protein berbeda (Cann,
2012).
