A third-person plural subject and verb usually follow this pattern:

The cats walk. (The plural noun ends in s; the plural verb does

                    not end in s.)

                         Memory Jogger

If you have trouble with third-person verbs, remember the
                         following verse.

                             The Singular S

When verbs are in the present tense,
                             You never need to guess.

                             The singular third-person verb

                             Always ends in s.
