                    —used before proper names, do not abbreviate words in your

                    paragraphs and essays.

                      James has an appt. with the dr. on Wed. afternoon.




                       James has an appointment with the doctor on Wednesday

                    afternoon.



                       James has an appointment with Dr. Davis on Wednesday

                    afternoon.






               The Question Mark






               A question mark is used at the end of a direct question.
