                             good, well

Good is an adjective that answers the

question “What kind?” Well is an adverb that
answers the question “How?” or “In what

manner?” Therefore, a person writes a good

essay. (Good answers the question, “What

kind of essay?”) But he writes it well. (Well

answers the question, “How did he write it?”)

                    test.

                             himself, hisself

The word is always himself, never hisself.
