Registering for the Exam
Once you have read and understood this study guide and completed both
included practice exams, you can sign up for the exam through Pearson VUE
testing centers at www.pearsonvue.com. If this is your first time registering
for an exam online with Pearson VUE, you will have to create a free
account. Once signed in with the account, you can select a date and time at
the closest testing center giving the CompTIA Cloud Essentials CLO-001
exam. The cost of the exam, at the time of this writing, is $191 USD. If you

are taking this exam because of a business requirement, check whether your
employer has exam vouchers or whether you will be reimbursed after taking
the exam. The Pearson VUE site does provide receipts of exam payments, as
well as proof of passing the exam.
Bring two pieces of identification with you to the testing center (one must

be a photo ID). If you forget, you will not be allowed to take the exam.
Arrive at least 15 minutes early for your appointment. You are not allowed
to bring smartphones or any other type of device or paper into the
examination room. Pearson VUE testing centers have secure locations
where testers can keep their jackets, smartphones, and so on, while they are
being tested.

Taking the Exam
Get a full night’s sleep each night leading up to your exam. Staying up late
cramming right up to the exam day is a bad idea; plan a study schedule to

ensure you have time to properly prepare.
Read each question carefully and ask yourself “What am I being asked?”
In some cases, every possible answer may look correct, so be sure you
understand what is being asked. You might consider eliminating answers
that you know are incorrect as you think of the correct answer. Note that the
points are not deducted for incorrect answers, so you should attempt every
question. Immediately after completing your exam, your testing computer

screen will indicate whether you passed.
