connection. Viewed from a different perspective, data integration involves
importing data from your on-premises systems into the cloud so that cloud
software can use that data. Either way, make sure you have a redundant and
reliable network link.
Network Security
Security in cloud computing is not harder overall; it is just different.
Perhaps the most fundamental difference is that there is no longer a simple
network perimeter with all the organization’s users and servers on one side
and the Internet on the other side, as shown in Figure 3-10. Cloud clients
could potentially be connecting from thousands of different networks that
are not under central control. The result is that individual cloud components,
such as cloud servers, must have individual firewalls.
