The Fourth Industrial Revolution and
development of new technologies is having
an unprecedented impact on the world of
work.
By 2030, 16% of occupations will be
automated worldwide, with 38.6 million
workers displaced in the US alone. By
2022, 54% of employees will need
significant reskilling and upskilling in order
to remain relevant in the labor force.
The types of jobs that will emerge will
emphasize social and emotional skills as
well as digital skills and cognitive skills,
requiring shifts in workforce preparation.
As such, the need for workforce training
is growing exponentially.
With increasing demand for sophistication
and specialization of job skills, particularly
as it pertains to technology-related
positions, populations without access to
these skills is, unfortunately, rapidly
growing.

Millions of people will need support to
take advantage of these opportunities.

Among those include :
 The unemployment rate for persons
with disabilities is twice that of those
without
 600,000 citizens are re-entering
communities every year
 4.6 million youth are neither working
nor enrolled in school
 42.5 million people in the US live
below the poverty level
 Workers over the age of 50 hold an
additional 11.5 million at-risk jobs
