Suprinsingly Simple
Why do dreams matter?
They matter for the simple fact that they make us appreciate the
waking state. You surely know how pleasant it is to wake up from a
bad dream, and back into the arms of the morning. It just feels so
relieving. So reassuring. So comfortable and safe.
Now, what if there was a different way of living life, a way much like
an early morning? Free from confusion, free from the stress and
pressure of overthinking things. Free from anything that seems to
make life look so complicated. What if there was a "waking up" from
a so-called "dream" that doesn't end with sleep? A dream of a per-
sonal story, a dream of an identity. A sense of self-recognition, that
somehow lost its way, and instead of reflecting a face of unmatched
beauty, it got caught up in its story?
This dream of "me, myself and I" surely seems to have gotten the
best of us. It concentrated power to those of no moral code, whose
hearts turned cold just to be closer to gold. This dream of "ego" di-
vides us into "them, theirs, ours and us". No happy life, just happy
moments for the rest of us. This dream creates wars woven from
madness, led by men with no room left in their hearts for kindness. It
all seems lost at times, appearing to be done in vain, choked on pain,
getting wasted down the drain.
But you see, no matter how dark or confounding this dream gets, at
the end of the day everything turns out just fine. We all swim back to
