A SHORT INTRODUCTION
Growing up, I couldn’t find meaning nor motivation in seeing things
as most of the people around me were doing. For a while, I thought
that that was a mistake, that there was something fundamentally
wrong with me and the way I was perceiving things. For quite some
time I considered myself lazy and unadjusted. For quite some time.
But then I realized that it wasn’t just me feeling this way, there were
many others who failed to find purpose in the conventional way of
living. And even the ones that seemed like they ’ve succeeded, ended
up by hitting the same unmovable wall of dissatisfaction.
Now, I know this is not a mistake. It’s a simple and blunt assertion of
reality, that actually acts as a guide and not as a referral of something
being wrong. If there’s something “wrong”, it’s the object of focus
and not the subject. The subject cannot be wrong, as it’s essentially
one with everything else in existence.
What I mean by the object of focus, is what we choose to invest our
attention in. If that investment is made into limiting thought pat-
terns, thoughts like: “I’m not good enough”, “I’m not worthy of love”,
“I can’t be successful” etc., then that will define the quality of our
lives. Everything we’ll set out to do in life will carry the mark of those
judgements. In the same manner, it is only natural that if you invest
your sense of peace and fulfilment into something limited and most
importantly, temporary, your life force will soon run out of battery.
So what to do about it?
How can you escape the luring temptations of living life as a victim?
