Sponsoring our lives while being covered in debt, it’s time for the ego
to be exposed as a false prophet. No more cashing in regret as our
only paycheck. No more acting as we're not enough, too careful not
to snap under the pressure of having to measure our worth in dollars
and checks. No more leaving in distress, afraid of what’s coming up
next. No more giving away our happiness to the thief that’s been
holding an imaginary knife of shame to our necks. No, not anymore.
May we no longer be blind to the obvious, a truth that’s so conspicu-
ous, it’s ridiculous. No. This time, let us surrender, rejoice, make the
choice of listening to our own inner voice. The one that speaks no
words and yet expresses itself through poetry. The one that has no
source and yet created gravity.
