all in front of God, people were too busy putting him on a pedestal
(and still are 2000 years later). This was not the point of his message.
He never said: "Trust me with all your money (power), and I'll offer
you the best credit line at my Father's heavenly bank." No. Instead,
he encouraged others to look into their own hearts for what is real
and what's not. He was an inspiration, an example, not merely a good
deed doer or a miracle worker.
There's a powerful saying:
Buddha's teachings were meant to create Buddhas, not Buddhists.
Jesus's teachings were meant to create Christs, not Christians.
In this resides the true difference between light and darkness, be-
tween love and hate. The one who acts, the one who leaves every-
thing and walks into the loving fire of God, becomes himself a source
of love and light. The one who merely listens from the comfort of his
egotic safe zone is like a fly that circles that source of light.
The choice is each and everyone's to make. Every moment holds the
opportunity for enlightenment. And the question that's asked here is:
what would you rather be? The source itself or just a blind consum-
er?
Be a Christ. Be a Buddha.
Find the courage to step forward. It makes all the difference.
