In qualifying, Matt started off the first session quietly, but in the second session, he came out firing. Running near the front, he was looking confident and fast, until a small mistake
in the sand slowed him down. As he was about to get back going, Plessinger came off the tricky dragon’s back and slammed into him. Thankfully neither of them went down but it was easy to tell it was not an ideal situ- ation. Nevertheless, Matt qualified his Suzuki in 28th position and would focus on the night show. Bisceglia got a decent start in 250 heat 2 and after bumping and grinding through the first lap of racing in the east, he came around in 7th. This Heat was hectic to say the least, but Matt was able to punch his ticket to the Main. He had a poor gate pick for the Main, which was the cause of a mid pack start, he came around the first lap in 13th. Bisceglia had a pretty calm remainder of the race and was able to leave Atlanta with an 11th, a solid stepping stone for round 2 of East Coast racing.
