Jeff Alessi came out swinging in the first timed qualifying in the 450 B division. He was one
of the fastest in his group and continues to establish himself as one of the top privateers.
With around 15 or more factory riders in the 450 class this year, it is not easy to compete, let alone qualify. Jeff qualified 28th going into the night show and set his sights on the races. He was put in 450 Heat 2, where he got a poor start, but luckily for him he was able to avoid the carnage in the first rhythm section. Jeff climbed his way up to 14th and would put his focus on the next qualifier. A similar story was the case for the Semi qualifier and the LCQ where he finished 9th and 8th respectively. Unfortunately, his night in Atlanta was over.
