SHANE MCELRATH
Shane McElrath has a drive for this sport that is unmatched by most racers today. His determination keeps him fighting for the goal, regardless of the bumps in the road. He was more than ready for the 2016 season when, unfortunately for Shane, he hit the ground hard in November resulting in a broken
wrist. Shane’s hopes were shattered, but he put his down, kept his focus, and fought through it. Now, a healthy McElrath is a serious threat to the 2016 250 East Coast Championship. Last year, Shane competed in the 250 West Coast series and finished 2nd in points behind none other than the champion, Cooper Webb. With only a couple weeks on the bike, Shane may not be quite 100% for Atlanta, but he could still be a contender for the win.
